LATEST NEWS FROM RBA - 28th June - Congratulations to Darryl Foster, Barry Martin and Beverly Duke of Jonel Park Thoroughbreds, Allora, Queensland. They purchased broodmare prospect CHANGE OF CONTROL through RBA. Her first foal is boom Macau 3yo GOOD CONTROL (by FASLIYEV), winner of the Group 3 Lisboa Prelude (1200m) at Taipa today, and now undefeated in 7 starts to date. 17th June - Congratulations to the connections of Royal Ascot Group 1 Kings Stand Stakes (5f) winner SCENIC BLAST. The 4th Australian winner of this race in the past 7 years. Today her son COLOURLAND SUPREME won the RM$1 million (A$352,000) Group 1 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor (2000m) at Selangor by 2.5 lengths. 10th June - RBA is consigning two very well related racing/breeding propositions in SKY BLESSING (by STRAVINSKY) and KATE OF CLONMEL (by BIANCONI) to the Inglis Sydney Winter Thoroughbred Sale on 3rd July. Carl purchased NANCY ELEANOR off the track through RBA. Today her 2nd foal PHELAN READY won the $3.5 million Group 1 STC Golden Slipper Stakes. PHELAN READY has joined DANCE HERO as the only 2yo's to win the Magic Millions/Golden Slipper double. 6th March - In order to complement their already successful private sales service, RBA launches an auction sales oonsignment service. Carl purchased NANCY ELEANOR off the track through Randwick Bloodstock. Today on the Gold Coast, her second foal PHELAN READY won the $2 million GTC Magic Millions 2yo Classic. 23rd December - even with the decline in the AUS$, the US market is now likely to throw up some great buying opportunities for Australasian breeders. With this in mind, Brett Howard will be attending the Keeneland 2009 Horses of All Ages Sale (12-17 January). In 2002, they purchased the mare LOADED LADY (in foal to COMMANDS) through RBA for $32,000. The COMMANDS foal which she produced was sold for $50,000 as a yearling. Subsequently named LOADED COMMAND, this 6yo mare won the Listed Ag & Turf Hcp at Te Rapa, NZ, today. 29th October - Randwick Bloodstock launches "A New Sales Concept" with integration of their 50 acre farm into RBA's sales operations. They recently purchased through RBA the mare HAWAIIAN MELODY, a half sister to VIVACIOUS SPIRIT'S dam. 8th September - we have a number of motivated vendors. A deal might be able to be struck well below the present asking price! 4th August - NZ Bred BLACK MAMBA wins US Grade 1 John C. Mabee Handicap. GO HAYLEY GO, a 1/2 sister to BLACK MAMBA, and by Champion Broodmare Sire CENTAINE, is presently listed for sale with RBA for $75,000. NOW SOLD!! 10th May - Congratulations to Ross Warnock, Flame Tree Stud, Scone, NSW. RBA purchased RHIANNA LOUISE for Ross at the 2007 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. Today, her 3yo PEPPERWOOD saluted in the Group 3 BTC Doomben Classic. 3rd May - Congratulations to Wayne & Pauline Alchin, Carramar Park, Grose Wold, NSW. Wayne & Pauline purchased the mare WHAT FUN for $40,000 off the track through RBA. Today on the Gold Coast, her 2yo CAT D'ANTIBES, a $140,000 yearling by TALE OF THE CAT, won the Listed Ken Russell Memorial Stakes, to remain undefeated after 2 starts. 28th April - Congratulations to Sue Woodcock, Sutton Forest, NSW. Sue purchased IRISH LIES in foal to O'REILLY, through RBA in 2006 for $20,000. Sue sold the resulting O'REILLY colt for $130,000 at today's Inglis Classic Sale. 30th March - Congratulations to Bob Watson, Epic Farm, Lennox Head, NSW. Bob purchased OUR TEACHER'S PET off the track through RBA for under $10,000 and sold her second foal by SHOW A HEART for $180,000 at today's Magic Millions Yearling Sale. 25th March - Congratulations to Michael Collins, Charters Towers, Qld. Michael purchased THEATRICAL STAR off the track through RBA for $20,000 and sold her second foal by CATBIRD for $185,000 at today's Magic Millions Yearling Sale. 30th January - Congratulations to Alan Jackson, Jackson Bloodstock, Hastings, NZ. Alan purchased the mare CRISP (in foal to CHOISIR) and her 2006 LION HEART colt through RBA last year. At today's NZ Bloodstock Select Yearling Sale, Alan sold the LION HEART colt for NZ$200,000.
