In 2002, they purchased the mare LOADED LADY (in foal to COMMANDS) through RBA for $32,000. The COMMANDS foal which she produced was sold for $50,000 as a yearling. Subsequently named LOADED COMMAND, this 6yo mare won the Listed Ag & Turf Hcp at Te Rapa, NZ, today. 29th October - Randwick Bloodstock launches "A New Sales Concept" with integration of their 50 acre farm into RBA's sales operations. NOW SOLD!! 10th May - Congratulations to Ross Warnock, Flame Tree Stud, Scone, NSW. RBA purchased RHIANNA LOUISE for Ross at the 2007 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. Today, her 3yo PEPPERWOOD saluted in the Group 3 BTC Doomben Classic. 3rd May - Congratulations to Wayne & Pauline Alchin, Carramar Park, Grose Wold, NSW. Wayne & Pauline purchased the mare WHAT FUN for $40,000 off the track through RBA. Today on the Gold Coast, her 2yo CAT D'ANTIBES, a $140,000 yearling by TALE OF THE CAT, won the Listed Ken Russell Memorial Stakes, to remain undefeated after 2 starts. 28th April - Congratulations to Sue Woodcock, Sutton Forest, NSW. Sue purchased IRISH LIES in foal to O'REILLY, through RBA in 2006 for $20,000. Sue sold the resulting O'REILLY colt for $130,000 at today's Inglis Classic Sale. 30th March - Congratulations to Bob Watson, Epic Farm, Lennox Head, NSW. Bob purchased OUR TEACHER'S PET off the track through RBA for under $10,000 and sold her second foal by SHOW A HEART for $180,000 at today's Magic Millions Yearling Sale. 25th March - Congratulations to Michael Collins, Charters Towers, Qld. Michael purchased THEATRICAL STAR off the track through RBA for $20,000 and sold her second foal by CATBIRD for $185,000 at today's Magic Millions Yearling Sale. 30th January - Congratulations to Alan Jackson, Jackson Bloodstock, Hastings, NZ. Alan purchased the mare CRISP (in foal to CHOISIR) and her 2006 LION HEART colt through RBA last year. At today's NZ Bloodstock Select Yearling Sale, Alan sold the LION HEART colt for NZ$200,000.

Manager Required

Brett and Rachael Howard of Randwick Bloodstock Agency are looking to employ someone to help manage their 50 acre farm at Quorrobolong, 10 minutes south of Cessnock, in the Lower Hunter Valley. The property has been recently refurbished with new fences, stables, etc, and is designed to carry up to approximately 40 horses. Stock on the farm will be broodmares (dry and wet), race fillies and race mares off the track and some spellers (females only).

Apart from managing the farm and its horses, the Manager will also be required to assist Randwick Bloodstock sales staff in respect of selling the bloodstock residing on the property. They will also be required to prepare horses for sale and accompany those horses to auctions. The applicant must have:

Very good horse skills.
Experience in broodmare management, foaling, weaning, etc, at a senior level is desirable, or a person that has this experience on a commercial stud and who is ready to step up into a managerial role would be considered.
Experience with racehorses and racehorse spelling is preferred but not essential.
General farming skills (pasture management, fencing, etc) is preferred but not essential.
A good overview of the bloodstock market and the industry as a whole is preferred but not essential.
A good knowledge of thoroughbred pedigrees is preferred but not essential.
Able to work in a small team environment.
Good communication skills.
A current Driver’s Licence.

Remuneration to reflect the level of experience and knowledge the successful applicant brings with them to the position. If required, on farm accommodation is available.
